Not sure what to do about the steering rod and tyres rubbing though.

Can you adjust the end points on your steering servo. That would stop the wheels touching

I don't quite know what you mean. But seeing as the wheel rubs against the rod all the time, I'm not sure how any servo adjustments will help?

Ok. Time for an update.

Decided that one of the best teachers is experience. Gave the Road Rage II tyres a try, unglued, to see how bad the rubbing with the steering rod was going to be.

As you can probably see, left quite a groove in the tyre. I'm going to try and get some new HPI wheels, and try them on something with a deeper offset.

I have my eye on these:

Also, I moved house last week, and have just finished setting up my all new man cave:

Gave the Dirt Paw tyres a try. They worked really well, although I might need to trim a bit of the body at the front as the big tyre nubs (I think thats the right word??) were catching on it. I think it looks mean:

Mmmm yum!

Got a package today with two new sets of wheels, one set of inserts, and a tyre glue.

I think I may have done a pretty average job on glueing them, but I'm sure I'll get better with practice.

Anyway, on to pictures!

Got a new light kit, custom made by Bill in the states.

Also have a new body coming, so I'll use it only for night onroad driving. Less chance of breaking it. Has 4 headlights, 2 brake lights and 6 orange neon style lights. The best part is that the brake lights actually work!
